      Hi @mandarino3681, thank you for your positive feedback! We unfortunately don't have the Voronoi DFN on RS3 just yet. However, you can define it in a third party package (such as Neper) and then import it to the DFN tool. We hope that was helpful! Thank you.

    The sensitivity analysis made here only was applied for the mechanical rock characteristics. If the rock mass shows a more structural control, such a complete statistical analysis turns into the geometry analysis (e.g. joint size coming from the trace length, intensity P32/P10, orientation etc) to get a probabilistic robust analysis. Great tutorial!

      Hi @nio837, the sensitivity study shown dealt with uncertainty handling of joint sizes and joint strength parameters. In a complete stochastic assessment of joint-controlled block stability, we would be interested in simulating variations in not only the joint strengths, but also the joint geometry (size, orientation, set spacing etc.).     is there any way to create a new model from scratch as I always need to make parametric study regarding the geometry itself ? I didn't find any classes or functions to create that actually

We understand that this is a valuable feature, and we are working towards including it in a future release.     why there is negative water pressure above ground water level -12? you can find big negative suction water stress at the embankment, is that realistic?

      Hello, great question! When you consider fluid potential (gravity), undrained behaviour or coupled behaviour, it is possible for finite element seepage analysis to calculate negative pore water pressure. These are incorporated when calculating effective stresses and there are ways of limiting their impact according to site conditions. For example, you can apply a negative pore pressure cutoff: www.rocscience.com/help/rs2/documentation/rs2-model/project-settings/groundwater#page-content-4.

While you are coding in the RocScript Editor and want to learn more about a specific class/function, you can always right-click the function/class and click "Go to Definition".     Hi, thank you for the superb well-made vid! I have questions... Can I change the coordinate system into UTM system? How to do it if the "coordinate" setting doesn't show up in my Slide3 unit project settings. Thanks in advance!

      Hi @putrisalsabila2911, The software does not explicitly identify the coordinate system in use, but it assumes that coordinates are in length units. You can specify your coordinates using that system, but it is up to you to consistently use that system. As the UTM system's coordinates are in length units (such as meters), no additional processing should be necessary. It's important to note that since the software doesn't recognize the specific system being utilized, there's no option to specify a UTM zone. Thank you!

    Only if I had known and had this software about 5 yrs ago when I was working on my dissertation -- I had to teach myself Blender and some other things to extract a terrain feature and build a block model. If I had this software, it would have been stellar. This changes everything!

      Leapfrog is a Bentley product. Are you sure that it is compatible with slide3? I wouldn't expect it to be.

      Our tools, Slide3 and RS3, can read geometry files (surfaces and volumes) from any geotechnical and geological 3D software packages, including Leapfrog. You can refer to the different file formats here: www.rocscience.com/help/slide3/documentation/file/import/import-geometry. Thank you!

      agree, leapfrog is great, it would be greater if slide3 or rs3 can automatically read the leapfrog format, so no need to repair, adjust or changing the mesh or volume from leapfrog (plug & play)
